75th Independence Day was celebrated at Jinnah Sindh Medical University with simplicity and fervour.
The Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Shahid Rasul was joined by senior management in hoisting the flag and reciting the national anthem.
The campus was decorated with green crescent flags and banners. Addressing the occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Shahid Rasul reminded everyone of the sacrifices made by our elders and expressed strong hope for the growth and prosperity of Pakistan.
A special prayer was also held to commemorate senior faculty member Professor Fargat Baig Mirza and his family members who perished in a fire incident two days ago.
Afterwards, the acting VC Prof Shahid Radul cut a special Independence Day cake accompanied by the senior management and staff.
