To gain a deeper insight into the Seerah and learn from the practical implementation of the life of Our Prophet PBUH, JSMU Faith Society under the banner of the Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) Student Council held a spiritually enriching event Seerah Conference on September 22, 2022.

The guest speakers for the session were Co-founder Naseeha Institute, Head of Tarbiyah at Message Grammar School Yaseen Asad, and Dean Al-Qadir University Project Trust (AQUPT) Dr Zeeshan Ahmed.

Appreciating the speakers, students and JSMU Faith Society, Vice Chancellor Professor Amjad Siraj Memon said that describing Seerah is not enough, we must act on it. He further stressed the need to conduct research and studies on different aspects of Prophet Muhammad and seek guidance.

Addressing the session, Dr Zeeshan Ahmed emphasized on the aspects of traditional Islamic knowledge, and the work of eminent scholars and compared the scientific opinions with the Quranic Verses. He further said that from the aspect of the quality of reformers, it is enough to state that Prophet Muhammad was a teacher and instructor in Islam. Further, Dr Yaseen Asad highlighted examples and real-life events from the life of our Prophet PBUH and inspired the students to implement acts of service in their daily life.

The session ended with a prize distribution ceremony in the presence of Registrar JSMU Dr Azam Khan and Chairperson JSMU Student Council Professor Kefi Iqbal for the quiz and calligraphy competition. Book stalls were also arranged for the JSMU students.
