Karachi University, TSW Agree To Hone Creative Abilities Of Students

University of Karachi and The School of Writing (TSW) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate for promoting and advancing the capabilities of Arts and Culture Society at Karachi University.

KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi and TSW Founder and Executive Director Mohsin Tejani inked the MoU at the VC’s Secretariat on Tuesday.

Per the agreement, TSW will work with KU Students Advisor Office and will engage students to improve their photography and creative writing skills.

TSW will also help the varsity in monitoring the activities of the Arts and Culture Society and will provide all technical expertise for activities being conducted in this regard.

According to the MoU, TSW plans to facilitate KU in arranging trainers, facilitators and artists for Art Baithak at Karachi University.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mohsin Tejani said students would later get a chance to work on different segments required in the film, visual and video making.

“TSW has its bilingual magazine which is published quarterly and I would encourage varsity students to send their articles and stories to get published in the magazine.”

Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi said, “The University is encouraging student to take part in extra-curricular activities. KU has seven different societies that are promoting skills and capacities in various domains.”
