Karachi’s Central Municipality has started the distribution of free textbooks among students at the schools.
Addressing the textbooks distribution ceremony, Director Education Central Municipality Muhammad Aslam Khan said; “Textbooks will be given free of cost to the school children. We are committed in making sure access to free education at the schools which come under the jurisdiction of the municipality”.
On the occasion, Karachi’s Central Municipality Administrator urged the teachers to work hard and enroll all the out-of-school children. He said that in the face of adverse conditions caused by the Covid-119 epidemic, teachers have a huge responsibility to continue the educational process effectively.
At present, over ten thousand students are studying in 135 schools of Karachi’s Central Municipality and admissions for the current academic session are also in progress.
