The Kashmir Solidarity Day was celebrated at the University of Education (UoE) Lahore on Tuesday. On this occasion, a walk was conducted in the main campus, township of the UoE, which was headed by the Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha. The participants displayed banners and placards with slogans of solidarity with oppressed Kashmiris.

A large number of teachers and students along with Director Students Affairs Dr Faheem K Butt attended the program.
Addressing the seminar, University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha said that Kashmir is the aorta of Pakistan, where the people will not step back until they get the right to self-determination. By changing the constitutional status of Kashmir, India has now been exposed to the international community.
He said that the current situation in Kashmir is worrying for the whole world. Modi government is engaged in the genocide of Kashmiris, which is being strongly condemned. The United Nations should take immediate notice of Indian atrocities and resolve the Kashmir issue as per the resolutions passed by the Security Council in the past. Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha said that the Pakistani nation stands with the Kashmiri people with all its strength. Addressing the seminar, Prof Dr Rana Ijaz Ahmed, Director of Confucius Institute of the Punjab University said that Kashmir will not be autonomous by mere processions, but we have to shake the world’s conscience for the freedom of Kashmir.
