KP Govt Postpones Matric and Inter Exams Due to Ramadan

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to postpone the annual matriculation and intermediate exams in light of the upcoming month of Ramadan.

All educational boards have been directed to reschedule the matric exams, which were originally set for March 5. These exams will now take place after Ramadan, starting on April 8.

Peshawar Board Chairman Nasrullah Khan confirmed the decision, stating that the exams will be held in April following the provincial government’s instructions. An official announcement is expected during this week’s meeting of all board chairmen.

Similarly, the intermediate exams, initially planned for April 10, have been deferred to May 7.

The decision aims to accommodate students and teachers, recognizing that fasting during Ramadan may impact their concentration and exam performance.
