KP Teaching Jobs See Record-Breaking Applications

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Elementary & Secondary Education (ESE) Department has received an overwhelming response to its latest recruitment drive, with a staggering 867,000 candidates applying for just 16,454 vacant teaching positions in government schools across the province.

According to official data, the applicant pool consists of 470,000 men and 395,000 women. Among the candidates, 406 hold PhD degrees, reflecting the highly qualified individuals seeking teaching opportunities. Additionally, the applicants include 7,161 differently-abled individuals and four transgender candidates, demonstrating the diverse range of participants in the recruitment process.

Education authorities have assured that the hiring process will be conducted transparently and strictly on merit to ensure fair selection. Officials emphasized that only the most qualified and deserving candidates will be appointed, following rigorous evaluation procedures.

The overwhelming number of applications highlights the intense competition in the job market and the growing demand for employment opportunities in the education sector. Experts suggest that this response reflects both the attractiveness of government teaching positions and the broader employment challenges faced by job seekers in the province.

As the selection process moves forward, authorities aim to uphold transparency and fairness, ensuring that the best candidates are chosen to strengthen the education system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
