The University of Karachi has issued the schedule of KU Syndicate Elections which would be held on June 30, 2021.
According to the KU Registrar Professor Dr Abdul Waheed, who is also the Returning Officer, the Elections to the Syndicate of the University of Karachi from KU teachers constituency would be held from 9:30 am till 1:00 pm at the Arts Auditorium
He mentioned that four faculty members would be elected respectively each from Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and Lecturers. The last date for submission of nominations is Monday, June 21, 2021, and forms would be submitted at the Registrar Office till 1:00 pm while the last date for withdrawal of candidates is Friday, June 25, 2021, till 12:30 pm whereas the final list of candidates would be announced on the same day by 3:00 pm.
He also mentioned that the objections to the voter’s list, if any, could be filed by Thursday, June 17, 2021, till 1:00 pm. The faculty members, who are on study leave/foreign service leave, or deputation from the University are not allowed to participate in elections even if they are in the city unless they rejoin
