Karachi University on Friday announced the results of exams conduct for various MA programs including the external exams of the Final and Pervious Year of MA Islamic History and Urdu.

According to the KU Controller of Examinations Dr Syed Zafar Hussain 163 candidates were registered for the final year external annual examination 2019-20 of MA Islamic History. Of them, 148 students appeared in the papers and nine candidates were declared pass with the first division and 81 students managed to clear the exams with second division. The overall pass percentage was 60.81 percent.

According to the gazette issued, Muhammad Arshad secured 656 marks out of a total 1000 marks and clinched overall first position. Maida Zukaib bagged 633 marks and second position while Musarrat Altaf received the third position with 627 marks.

The gazette shows that 176 candidates were registered for the MA Urdu final year external annual exams 2019-2020. Of them, 161 students appeared in the exams and 10 candidates cleared the papers with the first division and 29 students with the second division. The overall pass percentage was 24.22 percent.

It also shows that Asjad Nouman Qadri clinched overall first position with 668 marks while Muhammad Abu Bakar secured the second position with 663 marks and Najma Qassim received the third position with 599 marks.

As per the gazette, 202 candidates were registered for the previous year MA Islamic History external annual exam 2019-2020. Of them 174 students appeared in the exams and 58 candidates were declared pass. The overall pass percentage was 33.33 percent.

It further shows that 374 candidates were registered for the previous year MA Urdu external annual exam 2019-2020 of which 321 students appeared in the papers. According to the gazette, 137 candidates cleared their papers. The overall pass percentage was 42.68 percent.
