The Vice Chancellor University of Karachi Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi and the President of Human Rights Youth (Welfare) Organization Tanveer Kaim Qani signed a memorandum of understanding in the VC Secretariat on Tuesday to empower students by providing support to them in the fields of research, development, education, training, and dissemination of knowledge.

According to the MoU, HRYO would engage the business community to come forward and introduce the research activities to the local and international markets. Tanveer Kaim Qani mentioned the MoU aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industries so that students could present their creative and innovative ideas and products to industrialists and manufacturers easily.

The Vice President of HRYO Hamza Zulfiqar said that youth are unable to flourish their ideas and products in the markets as the business community does not take the responsibility to own those ideas and products and the HRYO would work on that line so that students could be able to get a solid platform to present research products to the local and international market,

The KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi said that our industries do not want to collaborate with academia and they always want an easy salutation rather than focusing on durable answers to their problems.

He mentioned that our neighboring countries have shown faith in youngsters and use their potential and now those nations are way ahead of us.
