The University of Karachi will conduct the entry test for BS Third Year program for the admissions in the departments of Business Administration, Public Administration, and Computer Science on Saturday.

The in-charge KU Directorate of Admissions Dr Saima Akhtar said that the students are directed to report at their examination centre by 10am along with their admit cards and computerized national identity cards.

She said that examination timing and centre’s names are already mentioned on the admit cards of the candidates. She said that all examination centers would have facemasks, hand sanitizers, and thermal guns for the students and examiners. She advised candidates and guardians to bring their drinking water bottles and do not share their belongings with anyone as it could cause the spread of Covid-19.

Dr Saima also mentioned that the separate waiting areas for parents and guardians have been established near all examination centers and terminal buses would provide services from 09:00 am till 1:30 pm. The watch and ward and admission staff would be available for the guidance of candidates and their parents.

She said that the students could get print out of their admit cards from the official web portal. According to her, the University of Karachi is conducting the entry-test through its own assessment and testing service, i.e. the Karachi University Assessment and Testing Service.

Meanwhile, she informed that the entry test for the BE, BS, BEd (H), Doctor of Pharmacy (morning and evening program), Doctor of Physical Therapy (morning program) is scheduled for Sunday.

She shared that the University of Karachi has received 15, 050 online admission forms for the entry test and established 35 examination centers for aspiring candidates. The admissions in BE, BS, BEd are available in departments of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering, Commerce, Computer Science, Criminology, Split 2 +2 Chinese, Applied Physics, Biotechnology, Karachi University Business School, Education, Environmental Studies, Food Science and Technology, International Relations, Mass Communication, Public Administration, Petroleum Technology, Special Education and Teacher Education, and School of Law clearance with at least 50 percent marks, is required), Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Doctor of Pharmacy.

She said that for the first time the University of Karachi in collaboration with Sichuan Normal University China is offering a split two + two year BS Chinese degree program through which students will complete the last two years of their studies in SNU China on a scholarship and obtain a joint BS degree from both universities.

She added that BS Genetics, BS Public Health, and BS Poultry Science are also the new program being offered by the University of Karachi.

She mentioned that students, who are planning to apply for self-finance or reserved seats, must appear and clear the entrance test. Otherwise, they would not be considered for admission.
