KU VC & Dawoodi Bohra delegation visit SoL construction site

The Vice Chancellor University of Karachi Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, Dean Law Faculty Justice (R) Hasan Feroz, the delegation of the Dawoodi Bohra community, and the representatives of the construction firm visited the School of Law construction site.

The KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi, Dean Law Faculty Justice (R) Hasan Feroz were briefed by the delegation of the Dawoodi Bohra community and the representatives of the construction firm that the construction of the new building for the Faculty of Law at the University of Karachi is likely to begin from this week.

They said that the building will be constructed roughly 500 meters from the Maskan Gate and adjacent to the Karachi University Business School. This new state-of-the-art building for the Faculty of Law will help cope with the current dynamics of legal studies and enhance the academic and professional growth of the students.

They mentioned that the new building will accommodate more than 1, 000 students to study concurrently in an eco-friendly environment. Amenities such as seminar halls, moot court, and an auditorium will give way for the advancement in curricular and co-curricular activities. While the current facilities are running graduate and post-graduate programs, the new structure will provide a focused approach towards specialized clinical courses as well as doctorate programs.

The KU VC Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi acknowledged that the Dawoodi Bohra community under the leadership of Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin has made notable efforts towards the promotion of education.

He observed that the community pays great emphasis on education, irrespective of gender or class, and a large number of professionals contribute to the progress of the country. The Faculty of Law is a recent contribution of Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin for education and the University of Karachi.
