Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore announced the result of the Matric Annual Examination 2022. 66.37 percent of students passed the exam.
The board officials revealed that two students grabbed first position by securing 1095, three students secured second position by getting 1094 and ten students grabbed third position and secured 1093 marks.
Maryam Yousuf Roll number 156982 and Saba Saqib Roll number 171359 took first position jointly by securing 1095 marks. Muhammad Mahad Sajid Roll number 247534, Muhammad Hannan Baig roll number 257437 and Aiman Ansar roll number 145365 secured second position by getting 1094 marks.
Abeera Javed roll number 111784, Bareera Atif 144975, Rameen Asif 153301, Asima Ejaz 155866, Amna Atta 170362, Nasira Kamran 162992, Muhammad Hamza Mukhtar 212591, Saim ul Haq 224739, Muhammad 226400 and Saim Ali 272205 took third position jointly by securing 1093 marks.
Chairman Lahore Board Habib Mirza, Controller Examination Farhan, other officials announced matric result in a press conference on Wednesday.
As per data released by Lahore Board a total of 248,529 students appeared in the exam while 164,940 students passed with the passing percentage of 66.37. In the Science Group, a total of 185,867 candidates appeared in the examination while 133,026 passed the exam with a passing percentage of 71.57. While in the humanities group a total of 62,662 students appeared while 31,914 with the pass percentage of 50.93.
The gender-wise comparison of data revealed that 76.96 percent of girls passed out while the pass percentage for boys was 57.09. In the examination, a total of 35002 students grabbed A+ grade while 21230 got A, 23607 got B, 25293 got C, 17285 got D and 972 got F grades.
While addressing on occasion, Chairman Lahore Board Mirza Habib Ali said that board officials were very careful while preparing the results. The candidates can apply for rechecking of their exams within 15 days, he said.
