Language is the identity of any individual and nation and Baba-e-Urdu Maulvi Abdul Haq has dedicated his entire life for the promotion of Urdu language.
These views were expressed by the Acting vice chancellor Federal Urdu University of Arts Science and Technology Professor Dr. Rubina Mushtaq on the occasion of the 60th birth anniversary of Maulvi Abdul Haq at his shrine here on Monday.
On the occasion, Dr. Rubina Mushtaq and others showered rose petals and also offered Fateha. Speaking on the occasion, she said that we have to carry forward the lamp lit by Maulvi Abdul Haq. Urdu Language is our greatest asset and we have to successfully fulfill the mission of Baba Urdu, she said.
She said that Urdu is one of the great languages of the world and if it is given importance, it will be considered as one of the most important languages of the world.
She added that special attention is paid in the FUUAST to education and research for promotion and further development of Urdu. We will take more important and practical steps for the promotion of Urdu, she said.
On this occasion, the President of Anjuman-e-Tarqi-e-Urdu Wajid Jawwad, Acting Registrar Dr. Muhammad Sareem, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zahid, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ud-din, Treasurer Danish Ehsan, Najam-ul-Aarfeen, Muhammad Siddique, Dr. Kamal Haider laid a wreath at the shrine of Baba-e-Urdu Baba and also offered Fatiha.
