The International Education Expo 2022 was organized by the International Resource Center (IRC) under the Directorate of Faculty Development & Internationalization (DFDI) of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU).
The Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Dr Shahid Munir inaugurated the International Education Expo 2022 at LCWU. The one-day event brought together dozens of topnotch institutions including international universities, education networks and consultancy firms providing an excellent opportunity to prospective students seeking admissions to international universities and scholarships related information.
Vice-Chancellor of LCWU Prof Dr Bushra Mirza, Dean Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences Prof Dr Muhammad Afzal, Dr Anjum Tahira Director DFDI, Dr Hafsa Batool Director IRC, Ijaz Qureshi, faculty and students also attended the event. The purpose of the international expo was to provide information about career and scholarship programs among female students.
Speaking at the event, Chairman PHEC Dr Shahid Munir said that Lahore College for Women University has made excellent progress in the last 3 to 4 years. “The presence of LCWU in Times Higher Education (THE) and Asia Ranking is proof of the hard work of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Bushra Mirza,” he said. If Pakistan wants to develop, women have to be brought forward, Women should also learn technical skills that will help in improving the economy of Pakistan’’ he added.
Speaking at the Expo, Vice-Chancellor of LCWU Prof Dr Bushra Mirza said that the university understands the importance of quality education, that is why we are establishing international linkages for female students, we have to adopt international thinking and quality education.
Stalls were set up by National and International Universities in the Education Expo. Chief guest Dr Shahid Munir and Vice-Chancellor visited the stalls. A large number of students and faculty visited Education Expo’22 too. At the end of the ceremony shields were presented to the organizers including Dr Hafsa Batool, Dr Anjum Tahira.
