LCWU to initiate Rs 8 million scholarships

LAHORE: Lahore College for Women University has added Rs 8 million to its scholarship funds for the new financial year.
On the direction of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza, the total amount of scholarship has been increased from 22 million to 30 million. The Vice Chancellor said that the Finance and Planning Committee has proposed a total budget of Rs 2.1 billion for the fiscal year 2021-22. She added that research grants have also been significantly increased. She told that as soon as the notification is received, the increase in salaries and disparity allowance announced by the government will also be awarded to the university employees.
