LUMHS orgainses free medical camp

Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences faculty and senior doctors under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof Ikram Din Ujjan organized a mega medical camp at Paryal Shah near Taluka Sehwan.

Around 40 consultants, doctors, and staff of LUMHS, from various disciplines, participated in the camp. They included physicians, pediatricians, cardiologists, neuro physicians, ENT specialists, endocrinologists, skin specialists, community dentistry, and public health professionals.

They conducted free tests of sugar, cholesterol, uric acid, and drinking water testing. Health awareness sessions were also conducted by the community medicine department and mass media of the university. Medicines were provided to the patients and needful referrals were made.

This mega medical camp was organized by the district administration Jamshoro, in collaboration with Abdullah Shah Institute Sehwan, PPHI, and DHO Jamshoro, while LUMHS provided consultancy services and experts of various diseases.

Hundreds of patients benefited from the free medical camp and people were thankful to organizers for arranging such a huge camp having precious facilities, in remote and rural areas. The public was hoping from LUMHS to have such types of camps in the future too.
