The Centre for Continuing Education Studies (CES) at LUMS is pleased to announce open registrations for Winter School 2022, which will be held from December 19 to December 31, 2022 at LUMS.
This program is designed to equip pre-college students to learn in an intellectually stimulating environment and experience the social and academic opportunities that a LUMS education has to offer. The program offers a variety of diverse skill-building courses.
Courses at LUMS Winter School 2022 include Public Speaking & Communication Skills, Graphic Design, Mobile Application Development, Personal Effectiveness.
The Public Speaking & Communication Skills course aimed to examine different kinds of communication skills and equip students with the means to effectively use these skills in academic, professional, and social situations. By the end of the program, students will also learn how to work collaboratively in groups and be able to advocate for personal views while benefiting from multiple perspectives.
During the Graphic Design creative skill-based course, students will be able to understand the basics of Adobe Photoshop and the importance of color, typography and design elements. By the end of the program, students will be able to create different design products and a social media campaign.
The technical course of mobile application development will cover all the fundamental concepts of Flutter development and teach students how to develop an application for Android and iOS.
The Personal Effectiveness course will allow participants to apply techniques for creativity and innovation in everyday life; learn how to cope with setbacks in achieving goals, and work towards improvement. By the end of the program, participants will be able to develop their personal vision, values and life goals and apply design thinking to personal and professional endeavors.
