The MEC and DEC members represent faculty members from different departments of Sindh Medical College and Sindh Institute of Oral Health Sciences who worked as year and module coordinators under the guidance of IME-JSMU
Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Shahid Rasul appreciated the participation of IME-JSMU and said that the collaborative efforts of departments can improve the course and development of medical education.
Chairperson Institute of Medical Education (IME-JSMU) Professor Syeda Kauser Ali appreciated the work done by Dr. Syed Moyn Aly, Ex Director IME in developing the study guides. She thanked all the faculty members of MEC and DEC for developing timely study guides and modules. She further extended her appreciation to the Principal and Dean of Sindh Medical College (SMC-JSMU) Professor Ghulam Sarwar Qureshi and Sindh Institute of Oral Health Sciences (SIOHS-JSMU) Professor Zubair Abbasi for getting the MEC and DEC officially approved from the Academic Council.
Dr. Kauser informed that MEC and DEC are responsible for finalizing the study guides, development of the table of specifications, internal assessment of modules and collaboration with the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) for faculty evaluation.
Registrar JSMU Dr Azam Khan, alongwith Professor Syeda Kauser, Professor Ghulam Sarwar, and Professor Zubair Abbasi presented the certificates and mementos to the faculty and staff of MEC and DEC.
Among the attendees were the Chairperson APPNA Institute of Public Health (AIPH-JSMU) Professor Lubna Ansari Baig, Director Admissions Dr. Fatima Abid, Associate Professor SIOHS-JSMU and In-charge HR Marium Azfar, Head of Pathology Department (SMC-JSMU) Saadia Akram, Chairperson Department of Community Medicine Professor Ghazala Usman.
The event ended with words of appreciation for IME by the Registrar and both the Principals
