The Provincial Minister for Universities and Boards Department Muhammad Ismail Rahu along with senior officials of the department on Wednesday visited the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi to check the arrangements made by the board for ongoing annual exams.

During the meeting with BEIK officials, the minister was also briefed about the implementation of Covid-19 SOPs. A detailed list of the facilities being provided at the exam center was also presented.

 While expressing satisfaction over the arrangement, the minister said the board officials are trying to provide a calm environment to the students in which they can take their exams properly. “We will continue to monitor the ongoing exams and no mistakes will be tolerated. We have taken all possible steps to conduct the examinations in a peaceful and transparent manner”.

On the occasion, the BIEK chairman Prof. Dr. Saeeduddin said that “no untoward incident has been reported since the start of the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examinations 2021. “Strict measures have been taken to implement the Covid-19 SOPs at examination centers. Examination staff and students are not allowed to enter the examination centers without masks while social distance is also taken care of in the examination room”.

Later, Secretary Universities and Boards Dr. Mansoor Abbas Rizvi, BEIK chairman Prof. Dr. Saeeduddin visited St. Joseph Degree College and Government College for Women Shahra-e-Liaqat. They during the visit reviewed the implementation of Covid-19 SOPs and asked the students about the facilities being provided to them at the examination centers.

On the second day of the postponed papers, the board conducted exams of Zoology Part II, Computer Science Part II and Chemistry Part II.
