Minister HED denies ban on co-education in colleges

Provincial Minister for Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun has denied any ban on co-education in government and private colleges in Punjab.

In a statement issued regarding the ban on co-education in colleges, Raja Yasir said that the Department of Higher Education has not issued any notification banning co-education in the BS Honors 4 year program being run in colleges.

He said that Minister further said that news circulating ban on co-education was based on a performa of DPI office which is only applicable at intermediate colleges therefore the ban does not apply in BS Honors 4 year programs.
