Lahore: Minister Higher Education and information Technology Punjab Raja Yassir Humayoun visited Punjab pavilion in Dubai Expo 2020 and reviewed the arrangements for different events in Dubai Expo. Chairman PITB Azfar Manzoor and Director General Sajid Latif were also present at that occasion. During the visit Minister Higher Education and information Technology Raja Yassir Humayoun also met with Vice president HUAWEI Liu GUI . HUAWEI company gave presentation to Raja Yassir Humayoun regarding smart city project.
The Vice president and his team showed great interst in making this project successful. Further more, Huawei company also showed interest in E Governance project of Government of the Punjab. While discussing at that Session Minister Information Technology Punjab Raja Yassir said that our efforts in the field of information technology has been appreciated not only in Pakistan but also at international level.we have entered in a new era in the field of Information Technology Now international companies are taking interest in the field of information technology in Punjab.He said , we have laid the foundation of a modern , prosperous and Digital Punjab.He said that with the promotion of information technology in Punjab, thousands of opportunities have been created for the youth. Raja Yassir said that we have provided a platform at international level to startups to start and promote their business.
Raja Yassir Humayoun said that government of Punjab has been working on a comprehensive plan for the promotion of information technology that is the reason,we are introducing the achievements of startups at international level in Dubai Expo. Later on, Raja Yassir Humayoun also participated in a discussion titled “Startup Edcosystem” in Pakistan pavilion at Dubai Expo where he briefed the audiences about achievement and opportunities in the field of Information Technology in Punjab.
