LAHORE: Punjab Schools Education Minister Murad Raas has hinted at another school closure but this time due to scorching hot weather.

While addressing a press conference on Friday at DGPR, Murad Raas announced that schools will be closed in wake of summer vacations after the examinations will end. He said that government is aware of the children’s problem which they are facing due to hot weather.

Murad Raas further announced that exams will be held from June 18 to June 30 while the new academic session will start on August 1. The summer vacations will be availed from June 30 to August 1.

He, however, opposed the idea of promoting students without exams and said that once exams will be taken, vacations will be announced. For facilitating students the curriculum has been reduced to the maximum level and the government has already announced exams policy which means that students will only give exams of elective subjects, he added.
Minister also announced two mobile applications to facilitate school teachers and parents. He added that for the first time any government is thinking about facilitating teachers as through these applications, teachers will be able to get their issues resolved while using laptops or smartphones.
