National Idea Bank (NIB) Grand Competition Launch was held online and Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Syed Ameen ul Haque was the chief guest.

National Idea Bank Pakistan is a collaboration between academia, government, industry and society to identify and showcase innovative ideas to solve innate problems in Pakistan.
Innovators from various cities can compete in city level competitions with winners progressing to the provincial level competitions with a chance to compete in the national level grand competition.

Addressing the ceremony, Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Syed Ameen ul Haque, said that the technology has revolutionized everything in the world, blockchain, artificial intelligence is opening new vista of development and growth around the globe. IT exports have increased to 47% since last year and we are supplying the competitive products in the national market. He urged to find the new and innovative ideas and polish them to make it commercially viable.

Chancellor of the Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET), Jawaid Anwar said, “Scarcity of resources, lack of collaboration and guidance youth is unable to accomplish their dreams. It is hard for them to materialize their ideas due to insufficient funds. National Idea Bank provides a platform where the people with creative potential can submit their ideas with complete confidence, and see their ideas transform into a product.”

Vice Chancellor SSUET, Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin said that the Sir Syed University is proud to be host of National Idea Bank in collaboration with Federal Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, IdeaGist and cooperative of universities that made a remarkable contribution in implementing President’s unique idea of networking for gathering creative ideas for developing NEW PAKISTAN as envisaged by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Imran Khan.

CEO of the IdeaGist, Hassan Syed said that every problem initiates an opportunity to do something. You must work on to bring out new and innovative ideas. Responding to a question, he clarified that the patent is acquired on product, not on ideas.
Director ORIC, Rabia Noor Enam gave an impressive presentation. CEO Ignite Asim Sheheryar, former Vice Chancellor Gujrat University, Prof. Dr. Nizamuddin and Dr Aazam Arastu, also spoke on the occasion.The ceremony was concluded by the vote of thanks by the Registrar SSUET, Syed Sarfraz Ali and later question and answer session was held
