Nepalese Ambassador Visits University of Engineering And Technology

Nepal seeks progressive, productive and long term concrete liaison with Pakistan in every sector.  Consulate will facilitate to develop linkages between University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore and Nepali Universities for the collaborative research and exchange of faculty and students.

It was expressed by the Ambassador of Nepal in Pakistan H.E . Sewa Lamsal during the meeting with worthy Vice Chancellor UET Lahore Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar on her visit to UET.  She emphasized on making possibilities to bring the people of both countries together for the betterment of the region. She said, “UET has a significant importance among Pakistani universities and is equally popular in Nepal.  So, we want to get strong interaction with UET to attain productive skills in shape of well-equipped engineers.”

She further said that economic development is a need of the hour which can only be achieved through technical education at both sides. At this occasion Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar said, “UET is open to all Nepalese Universities to sign MOUs regarding exchange programs of students and faculty, joint conferences, research & development and other productive areas, particularly in disciplines of geological, mountain, mining engineering, etc.

He further said that UET desires to increase the number of foreign students whereas several hundred of students from different countries are already studying in UET Lahore. This would help in better mutual understanding of people and cultures in various parts of the world in a highly connected yet diverse world.
