ISLAMABAD: On the direction of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood fitness centers/gyms have been established in nine schools and colleges of Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) Islamabad.

Ministry of Federal Education/Professional Training announced that gyms have been set up in Islamabad College for Boys G-6/3, Islamabad Model College for Boys F-8/4, IMCB F-7/3, IMCB H-9, IMPCC H-8/4, IMCB F-10/4, IMCG (P/G), G-10, IMCG (P/G), F-7/4 and MS (I-V), I-8/1 Islamabad.

The ministry emphasized the importance of physical fitness of students along with the academic activities. It is pertinent to note that last year in October, gyms were also established for students in public schools and colleges for girls and boys in Islamabad.
