The National Skills University (NSU) Islamabad, a leading institution in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Pakistan, has made a notable move towards achieving global excellence in skills education.

This week, NSU announced its participation in the Bridging Innovation and Learning in TVET (BILT) project’s self-reflection process, an initiative developed by UNESCO/UNEVOC in collaboration with the German Education Ministry.

NSU’s involvement in this project underscores its pioneering role in educational innovation on a global level, reaffirming its status as a leader among Pakistani technology universities.

The project was officially launched on June 25 with an inaugural meeting attended by both national and international representatives, including Ms. Alexandra Filippova from UNESCO-UNEVOC and Professor Yang Wenming from Shenzhen Polytechnic University.

This initiative involves a committed team from NSU, starting with eight members and expanding to 40, who will focus on leveraging digitalization and forming global partnerships to enhance educational outcomes.

The collaborative nature of this project will enable NSU to refine its educational programs with a global perspective.

Ms. Zhong Zhuoya, Programme Officer at the UNEVOC Centre of Shenzhen Polytechnic University, China, and Ms. Spogmai Shahab, coordinator for NSU’s team, will oversee the implementation of the program.
