Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Awan has said that the inauguration of NUST Technology Park was first of many and the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan was determined to set up more such technology parks in other educational institutions as well.
In a number of Twitter messages on Tuesday, she said Pakistan’s first special technology zone and park at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) was manifestation of importance attached to technology sector in Naya Pakistan.

The special assistant said the step would prove a milestone towards knowledge based economy and provide a platform for creative minds to come together and take steps for further development.
Firdous added that importance of technology could not be emphasized upon enough in today’s world, as no sphere of human life was complete without it.
She said that the project of NUST would prove to be a bridge between academia and industry and play its role in the promotion of research and development.
