The event was structured into two thematic areas, including a showcase of NUST research excellence that included multiple stalls and setups of multidisciplinary higher education, innovation and research taking place at NUST, and a conference highlighting the vision, mission and future direction towards forging meaningful partnerships with the industry.

Rector NUST Engr Javed Mahmood Bukhari said that in this day and age, technology is a defining factor of productivity and if developed and used rationally commensurate with the contemporary needs can yield incredible outcomes vis-à-vis inclusive socioeconomic growth. He maintained it is imperative that academia and industry work in unison, whereby the university produces research tailored to the needs of industry.
