Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan Sign MoU

In a significant move to bolster ties in education and scientific research, an MoU was signed today between the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan. The agreement, aimed at fostering collaboration and strengthening relations in the fields of higher education and science, was formalized during the International Conference on Girls’ Education in Muslim Communities.

The MoU was signed by Chairman HEC Dr Mukhtar Ahmed and Kyrgyz Minister of Education and Science Ms Kendirbaeva Dogdrukl Sharsheevna in the presence of prominent dignitaries, including His Excellency Dr Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL), and Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Pakistan’s Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT).

Speaking at the occasion, Dr Mukhtar Ahmed highlighted the significance of international collaboration in addressing global educational challenges. He emphasized that the partnership with Kyrgyzstan would pave the way for academic exchanges, joint research initiatives, and the promotion of educational opportunities, particularly for women in Muslim communities.

Ms Kendirbaeva Dogdrukl Sharsheevna expressed her optimism about the partnership, stating that the agreement would enhance cooperation in science and technology, benefiting students and researchers from both countries. She also praised Pakistan’s commitment to advancing education in Muslim communities.

The International Conference on Girls’ Education in Muslim Communities provided a fitting backdrop for the MoU signing, underscoring the shared commitment of Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan to empowering women through education. The agreement is expected to facilitate joint academic programs, faculty exchanges, and scholarships, contributing to the development of a knowledge-based society in both nations.

The event concluded with a call to action for stakeholders to invest in education as a cornerstone of progress in Muslim communities worldwide.
