According to officials, PEF has received over 20,000 applications for the initiative, including approximately 9,000 from individuals. However, the large volume of applications has delayed the evaluation process, which is still ongoing.

PEF has emphasized that each application is being meticulously reviewed based on merit to maintain transparency. Sources anticipate that the review process will take an additional two to three weeks, likely concluding by the first or second week of February 2025.

Upon completion, schools and colleges included in the program will be handed over to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and individuals who meet the required experience and merit criteria. This transition is expected to occur before the start of the new academic year.
