PESHAWAR: A two-day National Virtual Conference on Social Welfare and Social Work kicked off on Wednesday at Islamia University of Peshawar.
Academics including professors and researchers of social work from across the country are participating in the conference.
Reportedly, Chairman of Social Works Department, Dr.Shakil Ahmad said event’s purpose was to bridge the gap between academics and professionals.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary Social Welfare is the Chief Guest of the event. Newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Peshawar University, Prof. Dr. Idrees Khan, Deans of Social Sciences, heads of departments and students are attending the virtual conference.
