The Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) has inaugurated its 11th Batch of the three-day Faculty Development Program on ‘Use of Generative AI in Higher Education.’ The event is being held at the picturesque campus of Kohsar University Murree (KUM), drawing educators and professionals from various institutions to delve into the transformative potential of AI in the educational sector.

Joining him were distinguished figures including Dr. Muhammad Asif Munir, Director of PHEC, Mr. Jawad Amir Malik, Deputy Director of PHEC, and Mr. Shahid Imran, Assistant Director of PHEC, underscoring the significance of the program within the academic community.
Dr. Fayyaz ur Rehman from the University of Sargodha, a renowned expert in the field, is the resource person for this session. He is set to impart valuable insights and knowledge on the application of Generative AI in higher education, aiming to equip participants with the skills and understanding necessary to leverage AI technologies in their teaching and administrative practices.
With 40 enthusiastic participants, the program promises a robust exploration of AI’s capabilities to enhance educational outcomes. Attendees will engage in a series of lectures, hands-on sessions, and collaborative discussions, focusing on the integration of AI tools to streamline educational processes, personalize learning experiences, and foster innovative teaching methodologies.
In his opening address, Dr. Mansoor Ahmad Baluch emphasized the critical role of AI in the future of education. “Generative AI holds immense potential to revolutionize the way we approach teaching and learning.
