Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD) Lahore marked Kashmir Solidarity Day by organizing a Kashmir Solidarity Walk to exhibit unity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

PIFD management, faculty and students along with the general public participated in the walk. The participants were holding banners and placards in support of Kashmiris and against the Indian atrocities.

Addressing the walk participants, Dr Muhammad Afzal, Registrar PIFD said that the people of Pakistan will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brethren and extend all possible support until they get their legitimate right to self-determination. He said that the entire Pakistani nation demands from the United Nations that the ongoing Indian atrocities in Kashmir be stopped immediately. He said that Kashmir has always been and will remain a part of Pakistan. The United Nations should play its role in stopping Indian atrocities in Kashmir and liberating Kashmiris.

It is pertinent to mention here that like every year PIFD is holding various activities on the eve of Kashmir Day to highlight the cause of Kashmir and show solidarity with its people. This year, in addition to the solidarity walk, PIFD has also planned an essay writing competition as well as a speech competition on February 06, 2023.
