PU and NAB Organize Anti-Corruption Awareness Event

University of the Punjab (PU), in collaboration with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Brighto Paints, held a unique event aimed at promoting anti-corruption awareness through art. The ‘Wall of Culture Painting Competition,’ organized by the PU Directorate of Students Affairs, featured student teams from various universities who used wall art to convey powerful messages against corruption.

Speaking at the event, PU Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood emphasized the role of art in fostering awareness, noting, “A picture is worth more than a thousand words.” He praised the creative anti-corruption campaign, commending the efforts of NAB and PU in promoting a positive societal message.

The competition attracted thirteen teams from different institutions. The team from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design (PIFD) claimed first place, while the second position was shared by Punjab University College of Art and Design (PUCAD) and the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design. The third position went to Beaconhouse National University (BNU) and another team from the PIFD.

Director NAB Imran Sohail reinforced NAB’s commitment to creating a corruption-free society, expressing appreciation for the students’ art as a powerful means of raising awareness. He highlighted the role of young people as responsible citizens and praised their artistic contribution to the anti-corruption cause.

Students who participated received certificates of appreciation and medals, recognizing their creativity and dedication to advocating for a corruption-free society.
