LAHORE: Dr. Lubna Zaheer, Associate Professor from School of Communication Studies has been appointed as the Chairperson of Department of Film and broadcasting, Punjab University.
Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhter presented appointment notification to Dr Lubna at VC Office, Punjab University.
Dr Lubna expressed her gratitude on the appointment as Chairperson of Film and Broadcasting Department of recently renamed School of Communication Studies previously know as Institute of Communication Studies (ICS).
Dr Lubna has been a media practitioner, consultant and trainer over 15 years. She has been a regular newspaper columnist and television talk-show host with state television PTV News.
Dr Lubna has experience of working with Pakistan electronic media regulatory authority (PEMRA) and also attended and participated in various conferences, workshops and symposiums, nationally and internationally.
Dr Lubna Zaheer journalistic and academic interests include Political Communication, Women and Minorities rights, public participation and democracy, new media technologies and health communication.
