CAD degree show 2023

Punjab University (PU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood has inaugurated the BFA Degree Show 2023 in the Grand Hall (Old Campus) organized by the College of Art and Design (CAD) Department of Textile Design.

On this occasion, Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof Dr Amra Raza, Principal CAD Prof Dr Sumera Jawad, In-charge Department of Textile Design Dr Asna Mubashra, heads of various departments, faculty members and a large number of students were present.

In his address, Dr Khalid Mahmood said that the students of Punjab University College of Art and Design are full of creative ideas that have highlighted various social and individual problems in the best way. He said that awareness of traffic rules is needed to avoid accidents.

Later, the Vice-Chancellor visited the artworks and appreciated the students for their outstanding performance. The exhibition featured art pieces created by 26 students in Traffic Awareness, Fiber Art Show and Batik Show.


Punjab University School of Communication Studies’ Radio Centre 104.6 student Jawad Yousuf secured 1st position in the Media Fest organized by University of Central Punjab (UCP). As many as 16 students from private and public sector universities from across the country, including PU, participated in the two-day media fest at the UCP and demonstrated their skills in anchoring, reels, podcasts, video editing, documentaries and logo design. On this occasion, Jawad Yousuf, a student attached to the Punjab University School of Communication Studies Radio Center FM 104.6 clinched 1st position in the anchoring competition, while a student from the UCP obtained 2nd position. PU VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood has congratulated Jawad Yousuf, Coordinator Radio Center Dr Akram Somroo and Program Manager Irshad Chaudhry.
