Punjab University (PU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood underscored the importance of co-curricular activities in the holistic development of students during the prize distribution ceremony of the 2024 inter-departmental co-curricular competitions. The event, organized by the Directorate of Students Affairs, was held at Al Raazi Hall on Friday.

Addressing a gathering that included Registrar Dr. Ahmed Islam, Director of Students Affairs Dr. Muhammad Ali Klasra, faculty members, and a large number of students, Dr. Khalid Mahmood highlighted that the university’s merit-based admissions for co-curricular achievements have propelled students to national and international success. He emphasized that every individual possesses unique qualities bestowed by Allah Almighty, and it is these qualities that distinguish them from others.

“Punjab University’s Department of Student Affairs is an excellent training platform for nurturing future leaders through co-curricular competitions,” Dr. Mahmood remarked. He congratulated the students for their outstanding performances and commended Dr. Muhammad Ali Klasra and his team for their dedicated efforts.

Dr. Muhammad Ali Klasra expressed gratitude towards the Vice Chancellor for his unwavering support and encouragement. He noted that the inter-departmental competitions are designed to uncover and showcase the hidden talents of students, fostering an environment where they can thrive beyond academics.
