The Punjab University (PU) College of Art and Design (CAD) organized a vibrant seminar on “Pakistan-Netherlands Cultural Music” to foster cultural understanding between the two nations. Esteemed musicians from Pakistan and the Netherlands, faculty, and students gathered for the event, which showcased the unique artistic styles of both countries.
Key performers included Pakistan’s Sitar virtuoso Wajeeha Nizami and Tabla maestro Irfan Khan, alongside Dutch musicians Eva Oakes on guitar and Szmanuel Wieser on violin. The College Principal, Prof Dr Samina Naseem, along with faculty members and students, attended the seminar. Dr Naseem congratulated the organizers for selecting a cross-cultural theme, which she said was essential in promoting mutual understanding and appreciation of each country’s artistic heritage.

The attendees expressed appreciation for PU CAD’s commitment to enhancing the educational experience through events that encourage artistic, literary, and technical growth.
