LAHORE: University of Education Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha has concluded the two-day 4th International Symposium on Advances in Molecular Biology of Plants and Health Sciences at the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology, Lahore.

Eminent National and International Scientists, faculty members and participants from across the Pakistan were present on the occasion. Director CEMB Prof. Dr. Ahmad Ali Shahid thanked Guest of Honor Vice Chancellor University of Education, Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha and eminent scientists for the joining the concluding session. He said that basic purpose of this symposium was to gather molecular biologists working in different institutes and let them share their knowledge with others.

 He said that CEMB has produced more than 1022 publications with overall impact factor of 2294.89 and it has produced around 230 PhDs and more than 680 M. Phil students. He further said that during symposium there were 7 technical sessions consisting of 46 oral presentations and 42 poster presentations. He thanked the invited speakers and the major sponsors for collaborating in organizing the symposium and also appreciated the efforts of organizing team.

In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha, applauded the efforts of scientists and staff of CEMB for organizing a mega event and appreciated the productive idea of Dr. Ahmad Ali Shahid to give researchers a chance to present their research. He further said that researchers at CEMB are doing wonderful job in disciplines of agriculture and health sciences and that it is need of hour to disseminate this knowledge to common man and other fellow researchers so that they may get help to play their part well in contributing to progress of our country ceremony ended at the distribution of shields to the honorable guest and also to the best oral and poster presenters by the Director CEMB, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Ali Shahid.
