The University of Punjab has extended the last date for admissions in MPhil/PhD due to the flood situation across the country.
According to the spokesperson PU, the current flood situation has affected the whole country, which is the reason that administration of the university has decided to extend the last date for admission in MPhil/PhD. It was observed that due to the flood situation, the number of students belonging to flood-hit areas were unable to apply for admission or meet the deadline; he added that earlier, the last date was September 20, 2022.

Last date for admissions for MPhil/PhD programs is October 5, 2022; however, he added that the entrance test and interview schedule have also been changed for the said admissions.

Interested candidates can visit the website of Punjab University for changes in the MPhil/PhD admissions schedule.
Per the schedule, the result of the written admission test will be announced on October 24, while the interviews will be announced by departments and faculties individually. However, the first Merit List will be placed on November 11, and the last Merit List will be placed on November 25. The admissions will be closed after placement of the final Merit List. However, the class will commence on December 13.
