LAHORE: Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad has encouraged research for socio-economic impact so that the goals set for development inPakistan could be achieved.
He was addressing the inaugural session of 12th Post Graduate Students’ Conference (PGSC) 2021 on the theme of “Learning Agility for Educational Change” at Waheed Shaheed Hall.
The conference was organized by Punjab University Institute of Education and Research (IER) on Thursday.
He said that PU ranking had improved 54 times in QS Asia ranking of universities in just a period of around 2 years.
He said that the researchers must address and explore new avenues in teaching methodologies.
PU VC said that the conferences being organized by IER, consecutively, had provided an excellent platform for researchers to polish their research skills and address research questions, which were the need of the hour.
In the conference, 8 plenary sessions were held in which 48 research papers were presented while there were 14 poster presentations.
