Punjab School Education Minister Murad Raas announced on his Twitter account the implementation of a Single National Curriculum in public schools, private schools and madaris in Punjab from August 2, 2021.
The minister shared the notification of implementation in his Twitter account and wrote,” Notification: Single National Curriculum to be implemented in all public, private schools and deeni madaris of Punjab starting August 2, 2021.”
Issued by Section Officer (ERII) the notification read, “I am directed to enclose herewith a copy of notification M-49-02/PCTB/2021 dated 01-01-2021 by the PCTB regarding implementation of Single National Curriculum (SNC) for Grades Pre I-V in all streams of education (public & private schools and Deeni Madaris) for the forth-coming academic session 2021-22 and onward. It is reiterated that the above mention notification of PCTB for SNC may be compiled with for the upcoming session 2021-21 and onward.”
In his statement regarding SNC implementation, Murad Raas said that SNC is being implemented in the new education session and in the first phase it is only being implemented at the primary level. He went on to say that this implementation is practilatization of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of a single nation single book.
Murad Raas added that in this regard we have started a Learning Management System (LMS) in collaboration with Microsoft to train the teachers of public and private schools regard SNC, this LMS is made for the first time in history of the education sector. The previous government did not think about such in the initiative they ruined the education system deliberately, he added.
