LAHORE: Punjab Minister for School Education, Dr. Murad Rass on Monday launched School Enrollment Drive 2021-2022 to bring one million out of school children back to school.
While addressing a press conference at Quaid Headquarters Wahdat Road, he said that as schools have resumed educational activities from today, the School Education Department Punjab has completed its preparedness.
He urged parents to send their children to school. Murad Raas said that the issue of bringing back students out of schools is of utmost importance as the dropout rate of students has increased during the last one year.
He further said that the launch of the campaign has set a target of bringing one million children back to school affected due to pandemic.
Commenting on the exact number of out-of-school children, Dr. Murad Ross said that for the first time in history, the School Education Department has made it mandatory for all parents to submit B-forms. “With this, 86 percent data have been completed,” the minister said.
