Private medical colleges in Punjab will now have to collect the full tuition fee directly from students, according to a revised policy approved by the Provincial Admission Committee (PAC) on November 2, 2023.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The new policy eliminates the need for students to deposit fees at the University of Health Sciences (UHS), streamlining the payment process.
Under the revised policy, students who are admitted to a medical college as their first choice and those who do not opt for an upgrade after their initial admission will be required to deposit their full fees directly to their respective colleges.
Private medical colleges that intend to collect the full fee from students must comply with a new affidavit, which requires them to adhere to UHS policies concerning fee refunds and transfers.
Colleges are legally obligated to refund all fees to students who choose to vacate their seat or are upgraded to another institution, within a week and without any deductions.
Institutes that violate these policies will face strict action, including legal action.
The PAC’s decision is aimed at simplifying the payment process for students and ensuring that their rights are protected.
