The Government of Punjab has released the revised winter vacation schedule for schools. The break will begin on December 23, 2024, and extend until January 10, 2025, providing a 20-day holiday for students and staff.

Secretary School Education Department (SED) Punjab Khalid Nazir Wattoo highlighted the importance of a balanced academic calendar, stating that the break applies to both public and private schools across Punjab.

Parents are encouraged to use this time for not only relaxation but also engaging in productive activities with their children, promoting healthy habits during the cold season. Suggestions include limiting screen time and encouraging learning-focused activities such as reading and skill development.

Schools will reopen on January 13, 2025, with teachers expected to concentrate on reviewing the curriculum, preparing students for upcoming exams, and keeping them aligned with their assignments. The winter break offers an opportunity for everyone—students, parents, and educators—to rest and rejuvenate before returning to the academic routine.
