In a significant move to enhance educational and cultural collaboration, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) and the Hebei Academy of Fine Arts (HBAFA) China, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU was formalized by Prof Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar (S.I.), Vice Chancellor of QAU, and Prof Dr Zhen Zhongyi, President and Chairman of the Hebei Academy of Fine Arts.
The agreement, which marks a pivotal step towards strengthening academic cooperation and cultural ties between the two institutions, outlines a framework for a variety of collaborative activities. These include joint research projects, faculty and student exchanges, and the development of academic programs aimed at promoting mutual understanding and shared knowledge.
The signing ceremony was attended by notable representatives from both institutions. From QAU, attendees included Prof Dr Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali, Director Academics / ORIC, Dr Salma Malik, Director of External Linkages, Dr Umaima Kamran, Chairperson of the Department of English, and Mr Yang Xiaodong, Director of the China Pakistan Educational Cultural Exchange Institute (CPECI).
On behalf of the Hebei Academy of Fine Arts, several key figures participated in the meeting online. These included Prof Zhang Jianmin, Vice Chancellor of the Hebei Academy of Fine Arts, Prof Lan Xincheng, Dean of the Department of International Education and Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center, Vice-Prof Qi Zhihui, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and Prof Yang Ming, Director of the Research Institute for Arts Science and Technology and Cultural Heritage.
This collaboration is expected to bring forth numerous opportunities for both institutions, fostering an environment of cross-cultural learning and academic excellence.
