A motivational session “Lost – a generation in crisis” was held at Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) on Tuesday to inspire religious actions among students.

‘Inadequate investment in acquiring religious and spiritual education over the years and growing western influence has pushed our country’s youth in disarray’ said Raja Zia ul Haq. For followers of a faith, spirituality can be fostered through daily religious practices just like our physical and intellectual needs’ he further added.

Vice-Chancellor JSMU Professor Amjad Siraj Memon advised students to rediscover their cultural roots and observe religious practices on a daily basis for inspiration in life.

The keynote speaker for the motivational session CEO of Youth Club (YC) and Spiritual Cardiologist Raja Zia ul Haq addressed the students of JSMU on following the religious preaching. Youth Club is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-political organization, which provides a unique platform for the youth and provides them avenues to channel their potential in accordance with Islamic values.

Towards the end of the session, Head of Community Medicine Associate Professor Syed Tafazzul Hyder presented the vote of thanks to the guest speaker and audience.

Amongst the organizers were the Assistant Professor of General Surgery and Chief Clinical Coordinator Dr. Syeda Zarreen Raza and volunteer from JSMU Student Council’s Faith Society.
