The walk, which was led by Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Ghulam Yasin, started at Fountain Chowk and concluded at Library Chowk. Participants waved Palestinian flags and held banners, raising their voices against the ongoing Israeli aggression and calling for an end to the violence.

While addressing the gathering, Prof Dr Ghulam Yasin emphasized that the violence against Palestinians is unacceptable and reiterated the responsibility of educators and students to stand up for justice and peace. “Through education, we can create awareness and teach the values of humanity and respect. This walk is a demonstration of our unity with the people of Palestine,” he said.

Prof Dr Feroz Ud Din Shah, another prominent speaker at the event, added that staying silent in the face of such atrocities is not an option. “Education plays a key role in raising awareness. We stand with Palestine, and we will continue to support them until peace is achieved. We must remain steadfast in supporting the oppressed and voicing our concerns against injustice,” he concluded.

The walk was also attended by Registrar Waqar Ahmad, Additional Registrar Syed Nasir Abbas Bukhari, Director of Student Affairs Dr Mahmood-Ul-Hassan, Manager of Event Management Dr Muhammad Munir, and other notable faculty members. The event saw a robust turnout, reflecting the university community’s strong stance on the issue and its commitment to promoting global human rights and peace.
