The 8th Pakistan Industrial Expo 2024, a premier event jointly organized by the University of Sargodha (UoS) and Everest International Pvt. Ltd, began with great enthusiasm at the Lahore Expo Center. The event’s inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr Sardar Saleem Haider, Governor of Punjab, as the chief guest.

The event also drew in numerous Pakistani and Chinese industry leaders, exporters, importers, and investors.
Featuring around 300 Pakistani and Chinese companies, the expo showcases a wide array of products and services, with a focus on fostering investment across multiple sectors within Pakistan. The event aims to serve as a platform for industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and students to network, exchange knowledge, and explore opportunities within Pakistan’s industrial sphere.
During the opening remarks, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider highlighted Pakistan’s advantageous position in South Asia as an investment destination, emphasizing the need for economic revitalization through substantial foreign investment. He praised the efforts of Vice Chancellor UoS, Prof Dr Qaisar Abbas, and Everest International Pvt. Ltd in organizing the event to attract international investors and underscored the historic friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and China.
Prof Dr Qaisar Abbas, Vice Chancellor of UoS, emphasized the vital role exhibitions like the Industrial Expo play in bridging the gap between academia and industry, offering a collaborative platform for students, academics, and professionals. He expressed hope that collaborations between Pakistani and Chinese companies would not only stimulate import and export activities but also enhance Pakistan’s economic landscape.
Director of Everest International, Mr Wang Zehai, spoke on the emerging opportunities within Pakistan’s trade sector, especially through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He expressed optimism about the long-term economic benefits of continued investment in Pakistan.
Following the ceremony, the Governor, Vice Chancellors, and other esteemed guests toured the exhibition, engaging with CEOs, directors, and investors from various Chinese companies to discuss investment opportunities, new projects, and the enhancement of Pakistan’s import-export potential.
The 8th Pakistan Industrial Expo 2024 is set to continue over the weekend, drawing substantial interest from both local and international investors, and further establishing Pakistan as a hub for industrial growth and international collaboration.
